That must be because these guys aren't your easter bunnies...
They are very serious about their egg hunts.

And of course, first things first, we had to celebrate Livie's birthday.
I'm telling you she celebrated for a full 2 weeks!!
 

her presents weren't much of a surprise as last time we were here she drew them each pictures of what she wanted them to get her for her birthday...
Sara said she walked in to Toys R Us and was like... well there it is I wasn't sure it was real!! :)
 

Gram made Livie her famous chocolate cake...

Unfortunately it was cold and we weren't really prepared.
We met Dad and Jed at a farm auction and on the way home had to stop for pics....

EASTER

 Family picture time... the camera is on the grill... we had some trouble getting everyone in and looking... Claire was very concerned with Maddi rolling in the grass.
Maddi dog had grass all over... Claire couldn't handle it... she had to keep brushing it off just as the camera would go off...

plus I look fat... anybody else ever think that when they take pictures...

 

 

5 on the 5th

My baby's 5!! 
I can't believe it.  I know that's how everyone feels and how everyone tells you to feel, BUT
it really does feel like YESTERDAY when she was born and now she is going to be going to
KINDERGARTEN!!!

Her ACTUAL birthday was Thursday, April 5th and consisted of A LOT of things...

First we made yummy cupcakes for preschool.  They had turquoise icing... of course, and grass with little Easter Eggs on them.  She was very proud.  She got to ride in the birthday chair at preschool.

Swimming lessons...

 

We went straight from swimming to pictures... we're talking swimming ended at 7:05 and our pictures were at 7:20... ahhhh!!

Then we had to go to Uncle Stan's with Jed for farm business...
and finally TWISTED COW at about 9:00, luckily we didn't have anything the next day!!

Claire finished before Livie and was really watching closely to see if Livie would finish or share...

 

She finally decided to just fake eat her own. :)

W is for WORM

So remember when we had our yard work day and found worms...

Well, it's finally W day at preschool AND it's Livie's snack day... SCORE!!

Livie took her worms for show and tell, and we made dirt dessert for her snack...
with gummy worms crawling around inside... too fun.

 

We even made Miss Krisitn... the best preschool teacher ever her own dirt dessert to share with her family.
