Yea Flowers

We have done a number on our backyard... our house is twenty plus years old, and I'm sure then the landscaping was beautiful... but now, well not so much.  It is overgrown, dead, and well a nuisance.  What I couldn't dig up, I had Jed cut down with a chainsaw!!  We still have a few things left, but not near as many as we did have.

Then, the girls and I went to Wichita and picked out flowers for our front and back pots.  We had a fabulous time.  The girls loved it and I did to.  It was a beautiful day.  When we got home we planted.  And look we have new pets!!??  Flowers??!!

Claire even gave them a ride in the gator.

Even baby got in on the action.  :)  Claire planted one side, and

Livie planted the other.   Impatients and hostas in the back shade...

Daisies and delphiniums in the front sun....

Gerbera daisies always make me smile... I had red gerbera daisies with brown centers in my wedding... Love.

It feels very springy and happy around here.

Need Any Fence Fixed??

Well, Jed and Dwight are fixing fence at Section 1 so the cows will stay in this summer.
The girls and I decided to lend a helping hand.

This is no problem Grandpa... give me that hammer.

After, we headed to a campsite very close to section 1.
The girls had fun swinging...

And this swinging bridge is very fun.

You can see right through to the water.

We had a great time exploring... Althoug a goose did try to attack us... No kidding I was kicking and yelling, "get back" in my nastiest voice!!
Ta-Da... this girl is really getting big.  5 is changing her.  She is very brave. :)

Thankful

Warning LOTS of pictures

So you know those days when you just have fun... and you're just thankful for your life.  Since deciding to stay home last year I have had many of those, but today made me extra thankful.
Not that I didn't have them when I was working, but you know what I'm saying...
We had to head to Wichita to trade out bathing suits.  I had gotten Livie a size too small and Claire's was an adorable, yellow, one shoulder suit, BUT it showed her chest!!??
We ended up with these two.  Can you tell which is the 2T and which is the 5?
I bet not... the one on the left is Claire's 2T from Old Navy, and the right is Livie's 5 from Gap.
Both on Sale...SCORE

And look what else was on SALE... Livie needs rubber boots for Kindergarten next year... or we hope
We have her on the list to go to Walton Rural Life Center, and are hopeful she is able to attend.
They are still needing donations to have 2 kindergarten classrooms.
Find out more about this awesome school here.... Walton Rural Life Center

I also got a laid back, bright yellow dress that just looks like lake time... yea.

After a successful trip like that, we came home, rested, and then played in the backyard.  It was absolutely Beautiful!!  Check out Tiger Girl.  :)

We ate outside, played t-ball, and bubbles as well.  We were beat, but then because he sounded so pathetic on the phone we took Jed and Dwight some ice cream.

Grandma Connie has lots of baby chicks out there...  Livie always checks the hen house for baby eggs.  There is one hen who does lay tiny eggs.
Check out the new boots... working hard already...

Last spring we had 2 ducks and 4 chicks.. the white is ours... flower.

Even Lucy got some ice cream

And, Maggie had babies, 5 to be exact.

Livie said it was breaking her heart they were sooo cute.

Hope you had a great day.

Aquaduck No More...

Livie's last swimming lesson session was last night.  She loved her teacher.

And, although she "passed" aquaducks,

she still isn't too keen on getting her face wet!?

But she had lots of fun, and did improve over the 2 weeks....
we"ll keep working on it.

These two became fast friends, and so did their moms.  We enjoyed visiting and laughing at our some times unwilling daughters.
