Jeep Rides & Horny Toads

Well, my husband picked up and now has delivered a Jeep for his parents to pull behind the RV.
It's pretty cute and VERY fun.

He has since installed seat belts in the back for the girls' car seats! :)

Our first ride was to check out this major train wreck... not figuratively speaking... literally!!  It was crazy, it looked like an accordion!  They were already getting things cleaned up.
My dad being My dad...for those of you who know him he can't turn down a dare... that must be where I get it.

The girls love checking cattle in Big Red.
AND HORNY TOADS
First this guy... "What are you looking at?"
The girls named him Spike Bell Claassen, but he's secure enough that the Bell doesn't affect him.
And then this teeny, tiny guy.
These are their cute faces.
He's soo cute,

but tough too. :)

Jed and I also took a little Jeep Ride by ourselves.  Some of you may recognize this area...
Jed and I got engaged and then married on top of that very hill.

We also let these girls into the big pasture; they were excited!

Alas, all good things must come to an end... and with that end comes releasing horny toads.  It was a sad, sad situation, but as my good friend Stacy says, "they have to go back with their mom and friends."

Bye Bye Spike Bell, we hope you have a long happy life.

Hometown Rodeo

We went to our Hometown Rodeo all 3 nights.
The girls absolutely LOVED it!!

Friday night it was FREEZING!!

There was lots of snuggling.

Livie did the Calf Scramble... Kids 12 and under run after calves that have a ribbon tied to their tail.  The child or children who grab the ribbons off their tail win a money reward
Livie did not get a ribbon.

BUT, the BEST part of the Rodeo was this...
A HUGE Thank you to CC and Amy for making this happen!  You absolutely made their weekend!

However, this is my favorite Picture... the girls are trying to get Sara's boots off!:)

Caverns, Rodeos & Horny Toads... aaah I'm Home

We had a GREAT long weekend in OK.
Haircuts, selling bows and lots more!
Friday we went to ALABASTER CAVERNS STATE PARK!
It was really fun and interesting.
Mom bought a bat hat! :)

We played on the playground waiting for our tour.

And of course, took advantage of the photo ops!

It is a 45 minute walking tour from one end of the cave to the other.  It was nice and cool under ground as well.

Would you like these hotel accommodations?  This is a cave that can sleep 15!  It rents by the night.  There is a waterfall in the back, but it is pitch dark in there even during the day!

It was quite a hike to get down to the camping cave.

It was batty fun.  If your interested click below to find out more...

Harvey County Fair

We LOVE the fair.  Jed and I both showed growing up and have good memories.
It's also nice to just be spectators... we go, watch, play and when we get hot... LEAVE!
However, that may soon change... Livie will be old enough to show a bucket calf in the next fair!  She is ecstatic, and has been working for Granddad in OK to earn/pay for a calf. :)

I know NOTHING about goats, but would love for the girls to show goats!  They seem so loveable and are so cute!

Now THIS is Jed's favorite part... NOT!! He can't stand the rides, but we do it,
at least the ferris wheel.  Please notice how excited he is.

I rode with Claire, and she LOVED it!!  She squealed and giggled the entire time!  I couldn't resist snapping pictures.  I'm lucky I didn't drop my camera!

On to the Bounce House

AND FINALLY the SLIDE!  I believe it was called the WILD THING, and the girls LOVED it.  It could have gone either way with Claire as she screamed with TERROR on the way down,

but luckily it ended in a big smile!

Here they go again!

Did you go to your fair?  It's totally worth it!
Also, this was one of my first ever blog posts...
