So, the girls are playing outside, and like many of you, we have at least one bunny rabbit that lives in our backyard. He or she, quite frankly I don't know which, runs from under the playhouse to under the cedar tree and back. Well, the girls decided they were going to make a bunny trap and catch him or her.
They were 100% SURE they were going to catch a rabbit. When they ask if they could take it to school, I told them if they caught a rabbit they could take it to church with us!
Below is the modified version... before I had my camera they were hiding on the other side of the playhouse with the string ready to pull the lid on. :)
Now they've made another version so that they will here when the bunny hops across the twigs and dried leaves. The trap is bated with lettuce and the apple slices that were actually supposed to be their afternoon snack.

We had to leave for dance, but they checked their traps when we got back!
No bunny yet, but I suppose we have all summer for that.
On the upside, they did find a worm
