1st Day of 1st Grade
It was a Very Exciting morning in the Claassen House!
However, Livie gave this note to Jed and I this morning...
I love you Mommy and Daddy but osow (also) am varye (very) icsitide (excited) to go to scool (school). Love Livie

It was the sweetest thing EVER, but I had to go to my bedroom, close the door and bawl like a baby to my husband!
PS: Thanks Grandma Connie for our back to school shopping spree! Livie is wearing her new TURQUOISE tennis shoes!
She wanted to take a picture with "just her" and everyone.
Maddi is wondering about all the excitement!

We took a pop and note to our Favorite Kindergarten teacher and our new Favorite 1st Grade teacher! Caffeine is very important as a teacher... or it was to me! :)
And, as a side note, if you are looking for gift ideas or an easy way to let your teacher know he or she is appreciated, have them fill out a favorites sheet. I do this every year with our teachers; however, I can't take credit for it... I had some fabulous parents who did it for me. Then you can randomly send them their favorite candy treat, pop, magazine or sonic drink! It also helps for Christmas and end of the year gifts or gift certificates. I had one little boy who would randomly bring me a cold diet coke and say, "My mom said you might need this today!" :) or "Happy Friday!" (his mom is a teacher) It cracked me up and made my day!!
If you can think of something great to add, LET ME KNOW!!

and played babies! It was a fun day, but we missed Livie!

And now, the wait game is ON! Many patient moms and dads were waiting in anticipation to find out about the 1st day!
One of those just happened to be Miss Kristin, a legend in our house.
And FINALLY here she comes. We're so happy to see the smile!
She wrote this in her journal today. :( She asked if we missed her too. Double :(
We played on the playground,
and they were TOGETHER AGAIN!!

Meet the Teacher
It's official. We are in Mrs. Bartel's class and VERY excited! We went to Meet the Teacher Night, and I Quote, "I mean, my head was like blown up I saw so many friends!"

After, Daddy treated us to Taco Tico before going back to work. Livie was so excited he made it to see her room and meet her teacher!
So, in summation, we have read Junie B. 1st Grader (at last) thanks Aunt Molly,
our clothes are laid out,
and we are READY for 1st Grade!!

Drive In Movie Take 2
Drive In Movie has been on our Summer Checklist; however, we were able to mark it off a couple of weekends ago. Although it was VERY exciting, right after the first of 3 movies began, it started raining! We had the mattress and all of our STUFF in the back. We threw the girls in the pickup and watched Despicable Me 2 and Smurfs from inside the very sultry pickup.
This time was better! It was still just as exciting because we got watch both movies from the pickup, and the weather was PERFECT! The girls wore their pjs and fell asleep on the way home.

If you live close, this is the place to go. It's clean, family friendly and a GREAT deal. Right now it costs $12 per car load, and they play 3 movies! There are 2 screens so you have a choice of your 3 movies.
