Harvest is Coming

We decided to take daddy ice cream for a little break... We got some too.  :)
Jed is working on the combine, getting ready for wheat harvest.
The girls made themselves right at home in the tire.
 

And of course Claire drove... If there is something to "drive" she's all over it.  We learned the hard way that even though she is 2 you still remove keys!!  She started the tractor the other day.
 

 

 

 

He called for back up... his Uncle John the engineer.
 

And then they were off to check the kittens.  I was just going to get a picture of them going and Livie turned around and started posing when she saw the camera.
 

 

And then it happened...
DISASTER Struck... Lucy, (basset hound dog) was trying to eat the kittens.
 

Livie decided to move them to a better place...
 

Claire was to stand guard... She kept telling Maggie (momma cat) to get in!!

And this is what Maggie thought of their new spot... She hauled them right back!
 

Don't worry the girls were VIGILANT in keeping the enemy away!!

Livie couldn't even leave to check on our Chicks.  They've made the move to the farm...
 

Sunny... not so sunny anymore... Who knew she was going to be red!!??
 

And BoBo who likes to be right at your feet... still.  See Grandma Connie's chicks running around in terror. 
 

AND... Sunny and BoBo just followed Claire around and would still eat out of our hand.  I'm glad they have each other.
