Another Birthday Party

We had a fun Saturday day trip to the Thompsons.  Well, I'm not sure Uncle Cody would agree.  He was pretty grumpy, but I think everyone else had a great day.  The girls had a ball.  They played with Samantha's new birthday toys, and ate the cutest Minnie Mouse cupcakes you have ever seen!  I wish I would have gotten a picture.

And look what she got for her birthday, a trampoline!!  Notice our 2 girls... on all fours... Jed and I couldn't quit laughing.. we knew they would have a little trouble at first.

Field Trip

This was the most relaxed I have ever been on a field trip.  Ms. Kristin had everything under control.
It was so nice just to be a parent helper and not in charge.  We had a terrific tour of the police station...

We had sooo much fun.  Livie did NOT take her eyes off of the performance.  She didn't even want to go to the restroom at intermission.  She was afraid she might miss something! 
We weren't able to take our camera in though... Hence the after pictures.

 

Elmo is coming in March so it might be another special little girl's night. )

Zoo

On Wednesday, we were able to go to the zoo.  Yes, in January.  It was fabulous.  Molly and I didn't get that much exercise, but it was really fun for the kids.  This was Finn's 1st trip to the zoo. 

Look how close the giraffe is!! Livie's favorite was the little tiny orange frogs and Claire liked the gorillas.  She said the penguins were too stinky!!

IT'S HERE... CLAIRE'S CHUCK E CHEESE BIRTHDAY IS FINALLY HERE!!

So Chuck E Cheese on a Saturday... not my best idea.... It was PACKED!!  Like I walked in and almost started to cry... that PACKED!!  Now you do not have to reserve your birthday and do their activities which is what I chose to do... this way we could be on our own schedule, have our own cupcakes, and decorations... However, that also means no seats... Luckily we did find three tables together and had a fabulous time...

However, I did have a couple of good ideas...

**Premade and stuffed goody bags with Check E Cheese tokens & kids Names before the party

**Bought cups for everyone and wrote their names on them with sharpies...

**Tied a bright yellow helium balloon to each child with their initial... you could spot our kids in the midst of the chaos... It actually worked pretty well.

I made monkey cupcakes with some assistance from my mom and sister.  I saw them on pinterest, and they actually turned out pretty cute!!

The great thing is that the kids had fun... regardless of their age... Jed had a fabulous time! :)

Swimming Party in January?

Why is that in July my girls want to wear coats, and in January they are asking to get the sprinkler out??  The other day, Livie got both bathing suits out and decided it was time to run through the sprinkler... we did the next best thing... had a pool party in our empty dining room.
