Funny Random Pictures

Claire and I had a very successful shopping trip in Wichita.  We found a new Lamp for Claire's room!

Claire's baby has a very stinky diaper.  I had to assist... yep it was that bad.  She actually threw away the baby's "diaper" it was that bad... I had to dig it out.

Another Birthday Supper!!  She's going to think birthdays are a month not a day! :)

Please don't ask me why, but we went to our local feed store... AND LOOK AT THESE GUYS

Yes, Livie cried when we left... WITHOUT an animal!

Snowman Snacks

Fun, easy, winter snacks!!

SUPPLIES:
White Powder Doughnuts
Carrots:  I used pre-cut carrots and then cut them into 1/8s
Icing for Eyes

Claire carefully placed the doughnuts and poked the carrot stick into the hole.  I helped with the eyes.

I feel the picture is self explanatory... have fun!  You can also put dot mouths, but our frosting was NOT that easy to squeeze!!  Therefore, our snowmen just got eyes... they're quieter that way.

Yes, some do have 2 noses! :)
I mean why waste a good carrot?

Hide and Seek Game

Do your children need practice with sight words, letter recognition, sounds, numbers, or anything else?  We have a fun, easy, low maintenance game.

1.Create or buy cards with what your children need to practice.  Our dollar store has many different flash cards... addition, subtraction, numbers, letters, etc.
Livie's are number cards, and Claire's are K cards for her speech.
2.  Hide the cards.  Since the girls are working on 2 different concepts, their cards are different... Livie's are blue and Claire's are white which helps them quickly decipher their cards.

3.  The girls find their own cards, but before they get to put them in their pile they have to name their cards.  Livie looks at hers, says the number, and then puts it in the pile.  If they say it incorrectly, it stays in the hiding spot, and they come back to it later.
4.  We also turned off the lights and did it with flashlights.

The girls got tons of practice because after the first couple of times with me, they hid each others' cards many many more times!

Beloit Trip

So Livie got to have a sleepover in Beloit, and this one was left behind.  It was heartbreaking.  I decided she needed to open an early birthday present to cheer her up!

It was "mape-up!"

It really helped kick the blues.

The next day we traveled to Beloit, and the fun began.  Our friends have a PERFECT, HUGE new house.  It's fantastic!!  (And apparently warm as none of our children were ever wearing clothes!)

Even the new baby got lots of attention!

Oklahoma Aquarium

The girls loved the aquarium.  Seeing everything was fun, but there were definitely highlights!
!

T

Crawling into the middle of the aquarium was AWESOME; however, I wanted a picture of the girls in the tunnel... and guess who had to help??!!

Yep, ME, it was super hot in there!!

The sharks swim right over your head.

I would need these bars to be quite a bit closer if I were going into shark infested waters!!

However, OUR FAVORITE PARTS were feeding the sting rays, AND

TOUCHING THE STINGRAYS!!

Check out what happened during fish feeding...
Crazy huh... PS: They kept asking the kids to move to the sides and everyone to sit down... each time the girl getting proposed to tried to move or get out of the way.  The leader said, "oh no, you're fine."  I was thinking, Really they seem like they are RIGHT IN THE WAY!!  Ha Ha

PS:  That was my first video upload... I'm not very good at it!!

Livie REALLY wanted a picture with the large puffer fish, but it just kept swimming right by Claire.

We finally got its tail with her....

Farm Show

We have had several fun and busy weekends in a row!! Last weekend we went to the farm show with my parents, and then on to the Oklahoma Aquarium with my sister.

Do most kids love Farm Shows as much as ours do??  I'm not sure, but I bet they would.  It's a child's dream... free candy at every booth and you can "drive" any kind of equipment you choose!!  In Claire's case that is every single tractor, swather, mower, sprayer, and anything else that has a seat! :)

Afterwards, we went out to eat to celebrate Claire's Birthday EARLY!  She got a cowgirl outfit.

Good Times... now on to Tulsa!
