80 Degree Weather... Yes Please

So, last Thursday and Friday it was BEAUTIFUL, and thankfully, we took full advantage because it has been no where near that nice since!! :(

We took these two to the Zoo.  It was FABULOUS!

The animals were out and enjoying the weather as well.

Don't they look big?

Then we washed the cars...notice who is doing most of the washing.

I also cleaned out and bleached our garage....
Wilbert didn't make it and I needed to get his mess cleaned up. :(
And cleaned up our backyard and furniture...
Friday I did this a little bit aaaahhhhh

And then... a hot dog roast!

Why yes, the MINI did get stuck... AWESOME and YES I had just washed it the day before thank you for being concerned.

Bring on the WARM Weather!!!!

Easter Race

Are you looking for some fun, easy games for Easter?  We have some ideas for YOU!!

Practice Colors and Wear Out Kids...
We put a pile of eggs on one end of the room and our Easter baskets on the other.
I call out a NUMBER & COLOR.
For example, 3 Pink

The girls then grab 3 pink eggs and run them to their baskets.

We then graphed the eggs on our handy, dandy chalkboard!

Have Fun!!

Easter Egg Hunt Game

Educational Easter Egg Hunt

The Great thing is that this game can be modified for almost Any Age and almost Any Skill.  I have done it with 2nd graders, 5th graders, Kindergartners, and 3 Year Olds!
It can also be done with 1 person to 36 people or more!!

1st decide on your skill.  I did Rhyming Words and Addition Problems for Livie, and K & G sounds for Claire.
I typed them in a table, but you can write them on scrap paper.

Claire's have VERY ARTISTIC pictures... that's a monkey not a mouse!! :)

Put your cards in eggs and hide!

I did Claire's in Pink and Purple Eggs and
Livie's in Green and Blue... Addition in Yellow and Orange.

Participants find the eggs, read the words,

and match the rhyming words or addition problems or WHATEVER you are working on!!

In a classroom setting, I had each student find 1 ONE egg, then they had to find their partner and stand back to back, or find groups and put the sentence together... you get the idea.

Happy Hunting

Master Bathroom Update... Check

These were the same wood color with the same gold handles.  I can't believe how much brighter and cheerier it seems!!  I'm VERY excited!  Please disregard the streak across my mirror... I didn't clean it before my AFTER pictures.

The other side of the bathroom... I wish I would have taken pictures when we moved in.  This room was covered in lovely pink flowers with a nice border to match!  I stripped the wallpaper, and painted it a dark chocolate.  I also painted all of the towel rods at that time.

The cabinet above the facilities.

Ta-Da another project checked off my list...

Now... Does this SCARE you??

How 'bout THIS!!??  Yes, I'm doing my doorknobs!!!

My philosophy...
PAINT MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER

Wilbert Update & BOOKIT!

WILBERT UPDATE
He is STANDING & SUCKING at the SAME time!!  YES!!

In this picture, you can REALLY see how TINY he truly is.

Did you notice his new pen?  He is feeling SO good, he's been following us around the garage, and wanting to get into the house. :)  Now, he has a cozy place... Jed's pickup is now parked outside.
Do you remember BOOK IT?  I do.  I LOVED earning my personal pan pizza, and as it turns out, they still do it!  Livie has loved earning her, "cute, baby pizzas."

Thank you Pizza Hut for encouraging our youth to READ!!
Her mouth is FULL!

So is hers... :)
