Wichita Zoo

Yea, the zoo on a Monday is amazing!!  No people... seriously you have the animals all to yourself.  The downside... not sure when our chicken strips were actually "cooked" :)

They fed the grizzly bears while we were watching!  They ate apples whole!

The hippo cage was cleaner than I have ever seen it!  You could actually see the hippos!

 

Claire loved feeding the fish.

Livie loved feeding the white, "baby" goat.

The baby chimpanzee put on quite a show.

It was a great day.

Thompson Weekend...

Thompson Weekends are always fun!  Sometimes you get so lucky as to have a couple that the husbands, the wives, AND the kids have a ball together... that's us with the Thompsons.... hence fun Thompson Weekends.  5 kids 5 and under.... never a dull or quiet moment

there was partying... Grandpa Dwight turned 65 on Saturday- We celebrated at the farm.

they may or may not have been ready for us to take our 5- 5 and under children home... 6 counting baby Finn, although he didn't make much of a mess

Well remember when I showed you the picture of our outdoor chair and said, "This is what happened the last time we painted with claire."

 on a side note this is what happenned to Livie that night...
we came in from painting and realized her belly had been attacked by bugs!!

and later in the summer when I decided to do 2 chalkboard walls...

the culprit was easy to spy...
it was written all over her face!!
