My Birthday Boy

It is finally Jed's birthday... thank goodness... now he is only ONE year younger!
From November to February every year he rubs in how young he is and how OLD mommy is!!

My parents came up to take him out to eat for his birthday.  AND my mom made her FaMOuS chocolate "thomas" cake.  Terrific as usual.

Helping the girls get a closer look.

The next night, February 8th, is his actual birthday so the girls and I made his favorite meal.. that I make...
Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes, and gravy... mmmmmmm

Lots of GOOD help...

This is what their area looked like afterward!! :)
We love you sooooo much daddy!  Happy Birthday!!

Mud Puddles

Thank you God for the rain!

The girls and I had so much fun jumping in puddles and getting muddy.
We also helped daddy feed the cows.  We mudded in the feed pickup.  :) Yikes

Especially this one.  She kept saying, "Spish Spash Spish Spash!"

We definitely needed baths after that!!  I love it when Livie reads to Claire... so sweet.
Notice the book is facing Claire.... she's already a teacher! :)

Preschool Play-doh

So, it was kind of a crazy week.  My mom was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and was admitted.  She's home now wearing a heart monitor and we're looking forward to finding some answers.
Also, not competing with the previous... it was Livie's month to bring play-doh for her preschool class.  I thought, "no problem, we'll run to walmart and pick up some red and pink... you know for Valentines."  NOPE  There was barely any play-doh... luckily they did have white...

So, we squished in red food coloring.

Our hands weren't too stained.

We also hid "jewels" in the play-doh and squished in smell good too!

We had a great time playing with it before delivering it to preschool.

These were our "ingredients."

Next week we're making edible play-doh for our "P" snack... it's delicious!
