Baby Claassen #3

We shared our Big Secret on Sunday with the girls...
WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!

I Samueul 1:27
I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.

Well, it wasn't quite like that for us.... we were on the fence about a 3rd just not knowing what was right for our family, we prayed, and decided to leave it up to God.
However, I must admit when we found out, I looked up and said,
"Are you sure?"

So I guess it was more along these lines...

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you...  :)

At any rate, I was ecstatic to tell our girls.  They have both wanted us to have another baby.  One of the VERY 1st things I did when I found out was schedule a photo shoot!
I knew with my girls' ages and the fact that they both wanted another sibling I wanted to capture their reactions when we told them.

My sister and her boyfriend came, and also took pictures and videoed!

I was wearing a coat, and told them again what their shirts meant and then took off my jacket...
Nope, they didn't get it... They were like why are you #3?  I totally had to lead the whole thing, and then they were shocked!

Here Livie gets it, but Claire's still not sure what's going on.

Claire came in and instantly hugged me.  That was her reaction, and

Livie jumped up and down.

And Baby Makes 5!

Valentine's Day

How was your Valentine's Day?  Ours was pretty good, we had lots of snow days to get ready for it.  If I'm honest, I'm not much of a Valentine's Girl... I do the least amount of decorating and everything seems cliche', but believe you me if Jed doesn't do something I am NOT a happy camper. :)
Women or is that just me?

Claire and I thought we were ahead of the game... we made play dough again for her Valentines.  She LOVES making play dough as much as she likes playing with it.

She decided they all needed 1 eye. :)

Like I said, we thought we were doing good and then we went to Library and found out we needed 25 more!!!  So we made another batch.

"Hello, 1 Gurl Bakewy!"  She plays this every time we make play dough and it's the cutest thing ever... of course I'm her mom, but still.  I love it.

My favorite part of Valentines... their toddler and kid writing.  I mean, look at that E.  I'm in LOVE!

You may be thinking, "Where is her other daughter?"  Well, if she would EVER wear clothes I would have pictures of her on here as well!!  Livie gave FunDips and was Super Excited about it.

We made Vanilla Yogurt Pops for Claire's class.  Yes, they would have been much cuter if it were Strawberry Yogurt and Hearts, but here's the deal people
I LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR HEART MINT MAKERS, MOLDS, ICE TRAYS...
NOTHING... NADA
and Claire doesn't like Strawberry Yogurt which is odd because she LOVES strawberries.

So, they ate STAR VANILLA YOGURT POPS!

After Pre-School she was really in the Valentine Mood.

Sorry this is so long...

Friday, Valentine's Day, Livie and Daddy had a donut date at school!  I'm so mad I didn't get a picture of Livie in her red sweater and sparkley heart headband. :(

So, Claire and I had our own donut date before Library, and we also went to the Dollar Store to pick out a Valentine for Livie, her idea.  So Sweet!  She got her a grow lizard and Livie said it was her BEST Valentine.

And finally the Valentine Party at Library!
Hope you had a Great, Loving Valentine's Day!!

Yea for Snow Days!

How were your snow days?  Ours were gloriously lazy and fun!  It made me ache for summer so I can have Livie home!

We painted birdhouses, but are still not completely finished.

Watched Hotel Transylvania, and created a Bat/Bear cave depending upon who you talked to!

A peek inside.

Livie "broke" her hand and had to create a toilet paper cast.

We played LOTS of Go Fish, Created our own warm snowflakes,

Whispered to Daddy after Mommy said I don't think that will work, BUT

turns out it sure enough did!  Claire is in the bottom of that sleeping bag!!
She giggled her way up each step.

Worked on Daddy's Happy Birthday Banner,

and of course did the Snow Dance each evening with high hopes!
We barely got out of our pj's; it was glorious.  Even not teaching I LOVE snow days...
who knew!! :)

the Tooth Fairy

A VERY momentous occasion happened in the Claassen house...
the TOOTH FAIRY came to OUR house merely a year after Livie lost her 1st tooth.
Livie would absolutely NOT put her tooth/teeth under her pillow for the Tooth Fairy; she wanted to KEEP her teeth! (yuck)

However, during Jed and I's time in Las Vegas, Gram finished Junie B. Jones the Toothless Wonder, and that DID IT!

The night we returned home Livie put her broken tooth and this note under her pillow!

She woke up a couple of hours after going to sleep, and this is what she found.
She was SOO excited!

Yea for the Tooth Fairy!
And guess what?  She did it the next two nights too!!
Oh yes, she has a stockpile of teeth!  Ha Ha

Las Vegas

So, Jed's brother had a flight voucher he couldn't use and generously offered it to his brothers.  It had to be used by January 31, so we didn't have much time.  We decided to take him up on it.  I didn't think we would get away otherwise.
We have never been to Las Vegas and have friends who love it!  The rooms are inexpensive, and we decided to try it.  Although I will admit our friends who go didn't really think it was for us.  :)

We stayed in Treasure Island, which was a great location.

We had lots of fun just seeing all of the hotels.  We walked a TON, and ate EVEN MORE!!
My favorite was the Venetian.  We even rode the gondola.

We went to Old Vegas, my favorite was the Cowboy.

We also hit the wax museum which was cool, but the best part was the 4-D movie.
George finds me very intriguing!

We went to a time share spill and got all of our tickets and a few meals free.  We saw the Mystere.
Super Crazy!

The final day we rented a car for 25 bucks!  Oh did I mention the tax was 47% :)! Crazy!
Anyway, that is the day we decided a few things
#1.  We're perfect for each other!
#2.  We're definitely getting old!
#3.  We're complete dorks!
because this was our favorite day
The dam was AMAZING, and really instilled some major American Pride!
We took the big tour which was pretty interesting.

You see this Bride from the Hoover Dam.  Keep this view in mind for the next picture.  You can walk across the Bridge you see pictured, and get the view of the Hoover Dam.

This was as close as he would get... across or to the edge. :)

After we drove all around state parks and had a great time.

I totally understand why people come.  The pools are like resorts in Mexico, unfortunately we were not able to enjoy that piece, lots to see and do, and tons to eat, but for us...
